.SH "DESCRIPTION"

\fB(ALPHA)\fR \fBgcloud alpha compute snapshots describe\fR displays all data
associated with a Compute Engine snapshot in a project.

Given an existing snapshot is queried, successful output of this command looks
like the following:

.SH "EXAMPLES"

To run \f5gcloud alpha compute snapshots describe\fR, you'll need the name of a
snapshot. To list existing snapshots by name, run:

.RS 2m
$ gcloud alpha compute snapshots list
.RE

To display specific details of an existing Compute Engine snapshot (like its
creation time, status, and storage details), run:

.RS 2m
$ gcloud alpha compute snapshots describe SNAPSHOT_NAME \e
    \-\-format="table(creationTimestamp, status, storageBytesStatus)"
.RE

.SH "POSITIONAL ARGUMENTS"

.RS 2m
.TP 2m
\fISNAPSHOT_NAME\fR

Name of the snapshot to describe.

.SH "FLAGS"

.RS 2m
.TP 2m

At most one of these can be specified:

.RS 2m
.TP 2m
\fB\-\-global\fR

If set, the snapshot is global.

.TP 2m
\fB\-\-region\fR=\fIREGION\fR

Region of the snapshot to describe. Overrides the default \fBcompute/region\fR
property value for this command invocation.
