\f5gcloud vmware networks create\fR (\fIVMWARE_ENGINE_NETWORK\fR\ :\ \fB\-\-location\fR=\fILOCATION\fR) \fB\-\-type\fR=\fITYPE\fR [\fB\-\-async\fR] [\fB\-\-description\fR=\fIDESCRIPTION\fR] [\fIGCLOUD_WIDE_FLAG\ ...\fR]
.SH "DESCRIPTION"
Create a VMware Engine network. VMware Engine network creation is considered
finished when the VMware Engine network is in ACTIVE state. Check the progress
of a VMware Engine network creation using \f5gcloud vmware networks list\fR.
.SH "EXAMPLES"
To create a VMware Engine network of type \f5STANDARD\fR, run:
.RS 2m
$ gcloud vmware networks create my\-network \-\-type=STANDARD \e
\-\-location=global \-\-project=my\-project
.RE
Or:
.RS 2m
$ gcloud vmware networks create my\-network \-\-type=STANDARD
.RE
In the second example, the project is taken from gcloud properties core/project
and the location is taken as \f5global\fR.
To create a VMware Engine network of type \f5LEGACY\fR in the \f5us\-west2\fR
region, run:
.RS 2m
$ gcloud vmware networks create my\-network \-\-type=LEGACY \e
\-\-location=us\-west2 \-\-project=my\-project
.RE
Or:
.RS 2m
$ gcloud vmware networks create my\-network \-\-type=LEGACY \e
\-\-location=us\-west2
.RE
In the last example, the project is taken from gcloud properties core/project.
For VMware Engine networks of type \f5LEGACY\fR, you must always specify a
region as the location.
.SH "POSITIONAL ARGUMENTS"
.RS 2m
.TP 2m
VMware Engine network resource \- vmware_engine_network. The arguments in this
group can be used to specify the attributes of this resource. (NOTE) Some
attributes are not given arguments in this group but can be set in other ways.
To set the \f5project\fR attribute:
.RS 2m
.IP "\(em" 2m
provide the argument \f5vmware_engine_network\fR on the command line with a
fully specified name;
.IP "\(em" 2m
provide the argument \f5\-\-project\fR on the command line;
.IP "\(em" 2m
set the property \f5core/project\fR.
.RE
.sp
This must be specified.
.RS 2m
.TP 2m
\fIVMWARE_ENGINE_NETWORK\fR
ID of the VMware Engine network or fully qualified identifier for the VMware
Engine network.
To set the \f5vmware\-engine\-network\fR attribute:
.RS 2m
.IP "\(bu" 2m
provide the argument \f5vmware_engine_network\fR on the command line.
.RE
.sp
This positional argument must be specified if any of the other arguments in this
group are specified.
.TP 2m
\fB\-\-location\fR=\fILOCATION\fR
The resource name of the location.
To set the \f5location\fR attribute:
.RS 2m
.IP "\(bu" 2m
provide the argument \f5vmware_engine_network\fR on the command line with a
fully specified name;
.IP "\(bu" 2m
provide the argument \f5\-\-location\fR on the command line;
.IP "\(bu" 2m
set location as 'global' (default) or a region.

.SH "REQUIRED FLAGS"
.RS 2m
.TP 2m
\fB\-\-type\fR=\fITYPE\fR
Type of the VMware Engine network. \fITYPE\fR must be one of:
.RS 2m
.TP 2m
\fBLEGACY\fR
Network type used by private clouds created in projects without a network of
type STANDARD. This network type is only used for new PCs in existing projects
that continue to use LEGACY network. A VMware Engine network of type LEGACY is a
regional resource.
.TP 2m
\fBSTANDARD\fR
Standard network type used for private cloud connectivity. A VMware Engine
network of type STANDARD is a global resource.

.SH "OPTIONAL FLAGS"
.RS 2m
.TP 2m
\fB\-\-async\fR
Return immediately, without waiting for the operation in progress to complete.
The default is \fBTrue\fR. Enabled by default, use \fB\-\-no\-async\fR to
disable.
.TP 2m
\fB\-\-description\fR=\fIDESCRIPTION\fR
Text describing the VMware Engine network.
