.SH "DESCRIPTION"

\fB(ALPHA)\fR Create a health source.

.SH "EXAMPLES"

The following command creates a new health source:

.RS 2m
$ gcloud alpha compute health\-sources create <HEALTH_SOURCE_NAME> \e
    \-\-region=<REGION> \-\-source\-type=BACKEND_SERVICE \e
    \-\-sources=my\-backend\-service \e
    \-\-health\-aggregation\-policy=my\-health\-aggregation\-policy

.SH "POSITIONAL ARGUMENTS"

.RS 2m
.TP 2m

Health source resource \- The name of the health source you want to create. The
arguments in this group can be used to specify the attributes of this resource.
(NOTE) Some attributes are not given arguments in this group but can be set in
other ways.

To set the \f5project\fR attribute:
.RS 2m
.IP "\(em" 2m
provide the argument \f5health_source\fR on the command line with a fully
specified name;
.IP "\(em" 2m
provide the argument \f5\-\-project\fR on the command line;
.IP "\(em" 2m
set the property \f5core/project\fR.
.RE
.sp

This must be specified.

.RS 2m
.TP 2m
\fIHEALTH_SOURCE\fR

ID of the health source or fully qualified identifier for the health source.

To set the \f5health_source\fR attribute:
.RS 2m
.IP "\(bu" 2m
provide the argument \f5health_source\fR on the command line.
.RE
.sp

This positional argument must be specified if any of the other arguments in this
group are specified.

.TP 2m
\fB\-\-region\fR=\fIREGION\fR

The name of the Google Compute Engine region.

To set the \f5region\fR attribute:
.RS 2m
.IP "\(bu" 2m
provide the argument \f5health_source\fR on the command line with a fully
specified name;
.IP "\(bu" 2m
provide the argument \f5\-\-region\fR on the command line;
.IP "\(bu" 2m
set the property \f5compute/region\fR.

.SH "REQUIRED FLAGS"

.RS 2m
.TP 2m
\fB\-\-health\-aggregation\-policy\fR=\fIHEALTH_AGGREGATION_POLICY\fR

URL to the health aggregation policy resource. Must be set. Must be regional and
in the same region as the HealthSource. Can be mutated.

.TP 2m
\fB\-\-sources\fR=\fISOURCES\fR,[\fISOURCES\fR,...]

URLs to the source resources. Must be size 1. Must be a BackendService if the
sourceType is BACKEND_SERVICE. The BackendService must have load balancing
scheme INTERNAL or INTERNAL_MANAGED and must be regional and in the same region
as the HealthSource (cross\-region deployment for INTERNAL_MANAGED is not
supported). The BackendService may use only IGs, MIGs, or NEGs of type GCE_VM_IP
or GCE_VM_IP_PORT. The BackendService may not use haPolicy. Can be mutated.

.SH "OPTIONAL FLAGS"

.RS 2m
.TP 2m
\fB\-\-async\fR

Return immediately, without waiting for the operation in progress to complete.

.TP 2m
\fB\-\-description\fR=\fIDESCRIPTION\fR

A textual description of the HealthSource.

.TP 2m
\fB\-\-source\-type\fR=\fISOURCE_TYPE\fR; default="backend\-service"

Specifies the type of the HealthSource. The only allowed value is
BACKEND_SERVICE. Must be specified when the HealthSource is created, and cannot
be mutated. \fISOURCE_TYPE\fR must be (only one value is supported):
\fBbackend\-service\fR.

.SH "API REFERENCE"

This command uses the \fBcompute/alpha\fR API. The full documentation for this
API can be found at: https://cloud.google.com/compute/

.SH "NOTES"

This command is currently in alpha and might change without notice. If this
command fails with API permission errors despite specifying the correct project,
you might be trying to access an API with an invitation\-only early access
allowlist. This variant is also available:
